Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist that was traditionally used to treat addiction. In recent years, it has been found to normalize the immune system and for inflammation and neurological disorders when used in lower doses. Low dose naltrexone (LDN) is only available from compounding pharmacies because naltrexone is only commercially available as a 50 mg tablet.
